Photo Policy

This policy aims to enable normal photography within the Kvarken Ports Umeå Port Security Area (see image on page three) while protecting safety, customer interests, commercially sensitive information, personal privacy, and ongoing projects.

Scope

This policy applies to:

• employees
• contractors
• consultants
• visitors
• customers
• suppliers

who are present within the Kvarken Ports Umeå Port Security Area.

General Rule

Photography and filming ARE permitted within the Port Security Area without a specific photography permit, provided that the activity does not violate this policy or other applicable regulations.

Drone Operations

Drone operations for photography and filming purposes are permitted within the Kvarken Ports Umeå Port Area provided they comply with applicable regulations. The drone operator is responsible for complying with the rules of the Swedish Transport Agency and other authorities, checking airspace restrictions before flight, and respecting security, privacy and protection interests within the port area.

Photography is not permitted of

• security installations such as CCTV systems, access control systems, alarm equipment and monitoring functions
• drawings, control systems, IT systems or other information that could affect facility security
• ongoing construction and infrastructure projects
• customers’ cargo, goods, equipment or operations without the customer’s consent
• personal data or identifiable individuals in a manner that violates legislation or company guidelines
• areas specifically marked or communicated as no-photography zones

Publication

Photographs and videos from the port area may not be published on social media, websites or marketing materials if:

• they contain sensitive operational information
• they show customer operations or cargo without consent
• they could harm Kvarken Ports, its customers or business partners

Responsibility

Anyone taking photographs is responsible for:

• complying with this policy
• following instructions from Kvarken Ports personnel
• respecting the wishes of customers and other businesses

Kvarken Ports reserves the right to request that photography cease if it is considered to affect safety, operations or privacy.
